DPA Specialist Consulting Engineers were initially appointed to review the effectiveness of previous crack repair works undertaken on an Outlet Bridge Deck at a pumped storage scheme in Kwazulu-Natal and to provide outline recommendations for further work required to ensure the integrity and durability of the structure.

 

This appointment was subsequently extended to include the development of a method statement for further crack remedial work, followed by on-site trials to prove the effectiveness of the repair procedures.

 

On successful completion of these trials, DPA were appointed to manage and monitor the execution of the full-scale remedial works.
